Vertex Scaffolding Griffin’s Tower
Vertex Scaffolding were contracted to erect a scaffold around the old Griffin’s biscuit factory in Lower Hutt. The old Griffin’s tower, which has been a local landmark since the 1930’s, required repainting and new branding for the new occupants, Flight Plastics.
Scott Johnston, Vertex Scaffolding Director, said “the whole job took a couple of our guys just 5 days to erect. The finished scaffold reached a height of 19.5m and a length of 20.5m.”
Efficient Vertex Scaffolding
“With Layher Allround Scaffolding’s ease of assembly we knew the build would be efficient, which ensured we met the projects timelines” said Paora Mullany, Operations Manager Vertex Scaffolding.
Paora continued “on a build as straightforward as this one, it was important for us to operate as efficiently as possible. Having the gear delivered directly to site combined with some good pre-planning has helped achieve that, and the team have delivered a tidy, clean job that they can all be proud of.”
Very professional
Contractor, Derek Lander, Director Flight Plastics said, “Vertex have been very professional throughout and have been straightforward and easy to deal with. The crew that we had on site erecting the scaffold were well organised, they got the job done efficiently and fitted in well with the other contractors and our operational requirements. Importantly, the equipment is doing the job well.”
