Uni Compact Rolling Tower

Layher’s Uni Compact Rolling Tower is a compact universal tower solution with a double-width working area. It offers all the benefits of Layher’s universal tower range, but employs a versatile design that lends itself to applications with limited space and manoeuvrability.

The Uni Compact Rolling Tower’s ladder frame design and aluminium construction uses a push-fit assembly technique, which makes assembly and disassembly a simple, one-person process. The flexible design enables you to easily snap-in additional guardrails and diagonal bracing, as required.

Built for tight quarters

The compact design provides a generous 2.7m² working platform, with the manoeuvrability of a slim 1.80m tower footprint. Despite its modest outer dimensions, the Uni Compact Rolling Tower provides a comfortable and secure environment for working at heights up to 10.38m.

Although it’s a compact tower, the working platform provides ample space for personnel to efficiently work at height, even when operating heavy tools and equipment, or transporting bulky materials.

Maximum flexibility

Although the Uni Compact Rolling Tower is extremely space efficient, its working platform can support live loads up to 2,000 N/m² and a total uniformly distributed load up to 485 kg, making it one of the most versatile solutions in the universal tower range.

The working platform is constructed using a aluminium frame with a plywood insert, a versatile option for most applications. A hatched deck is also available for applications that require safe internal access.

Stable with a small footprint

The tower’s castors employ a robust locking mechanism and concentric design to transmit loads directly to the support surface, greatly increasing the Uni Compact Rolling Tower’s overall stability.

The castors also provide extended steel spindles to level the tower even on the most irregular support surfaces. For applications above 8.38m, you can use stabilisers or adjustable mobile beams to widen the base and provide even greater stability.
