Course dates and locations
- The two day Layher Allround Training Part 1 course is delivered in either Auckland or Wellington.
Alternatively we can arrange for the course to be delivered at your scaffolding company’s premises. Contact us to discuss feasibility and requirements.

- This training course is designed to introduce scaffolders to the fundamental aspects of the Layher Allround system. Participants will learn about Allround components, their safety features and efficient assembly techniques during both practical builds and classroom-based sessions. Upon completion, participants will understand how to use Layher Allround core components to safely install simple and efficient scaffolds.

This course is primarily aimed towards scaffolders who are new to the Layher Allround system. This includes scaffolders who are working towards or have recently completed their Basic Ticket (Level 3 National Certificate in Scaffolding – Elementary) or experienced scaffolders who have not previously used Layher Allround.
This is a unique opportunity to learn about our system and discuss best practice. Experienced scaffolders, supervisors and business owners have all said they have gained a lot from attending this course.
- Participants will learn how to:
- Recognise Layher Allround core components and characteristics
- Use fall prevention methods to safely install and dismantle Allround scaffolds
- Use correct assembly techniques as recommended by Layher
- Appreciate the common hazards and risks associated with scaffolding
- Consider issues affecting scaffold stability
- Provide a safe means of access
- Appreciate inspection processes for safe use of Allround components
- Use efficient scaffold design to reduce weight and save time
- Calculate leg loads for facade scaffolds
Practical:
- Build and dismantle a tower scaffold
- Build and dismantle a facade scaffold with stair tower
- Yard walkthrough
- Candidates who successfully complete the course will be issued with a ‘Certificate of Completion’ by Layher, together with a summary of the Learning Outcomes achieved.
- 2 days – 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Each participant must bring their own PPE and be able to use a harness competently.
- All participants must bring the following; safety harness, helmet, safety boots, safety glasses, tool belt with hammer and ratchet.
- Layher strongly suggests that participants have completed the unit standard “US23229 – Use safety harness system when working at height”.
- Minimum 4 and up to a maximum of 8 (per course).
- A non-refundable payment of NZD495.00 + GST per person is required to confirm a place on the course. This includes lunch and refreshments.
