An aspiring scaffold

St. Joseph Church in New Plymouth required renovation work to its spire. Cunningham Construction were asked to provide safe access for contractors on this tricky project.

Cunningham Construction’s Michael Lobb said “you only see the scaffold standing on the roof, but a support tower was also built inside, directly below the spire. The internal scaffold supported the outside scaffold, as well as to provide access to the inside of the spire for refurbishment works.”

“Everything went well; from initial design to dismantle. We appreciated Layher’s design service and support throughout the project. This 17-week church spire scaffold project was finished on time and completed on budget,” said Michael.

In summary, Michael said “the Cunningham Construction crew worked well with contractors and crane operator. We were very happy with how the job went, and more importantly, so was our client.”
