Overhead Site Office

Arrow International asked Scafit to design a gantry to provide both public protection and a platform for their site sheds during the construction of the Te Aro Towers apartment complex in Taranaki Street, Wellington. The gantry solution also included a loading bay and site boundary.

Safety and loading

There were significant challenges with wind loadings as the gantry needed to be self supporting and could not be tied to the building structure until piling was complete. Andy Rich commented “the Scafit team delivered and Arrow International was impressed by the versatility, safety and loading capabilities of the Layher Allround system”.
