Phoenix Gardens

Standing over 44m at the top of Grafton Road, this prominent Auckland roof redesign and penthouse project currently represents one of New Zealand’s tallest scaffolding jobs. Canam Construction awarded this technically challenging access and encapsulation project to experienced Layher user North Shore Scaffolding.

Cantilevered scaffold

Clifton Webb of North Shore Scaffolding commented that erecting and encapsulating a cantilevered scaffold from top apartments wasn’t an option as this would obstruct work on the walls and result in greater disruption for the tenants.

Saved a tonne of gear

“The Layher Allround system was ideal for this project. It enabled us to minimise the footprint needed to support the scaffold on top. Layher’s design support and engineering advice was awesome as it simplified the planning and saved a tonne of gear. The client is very happy with the solution and North Shore Scaffolding’s service to date”.
