Frame Apartments Construction

Frame Apartments is a new residential complex located on Molesworth Street in the Wellington suburb of Thorndon. The development was completed in August 2018.

Engineered scaffolding

Standing at a height of 51m with a length and width of 17m Geeves Scaffolding was commissioned to erect the scaffold for this project. The Layher Allround system was used for the façade and propping, along with specially engineered brackets which served as the foundation for the scaffold.

Quick construction

“The project ran exceptionally well” said CJ Berry, Commercial Manager for Geeves Scaffolding. “Using the Layher Allround system made it so quick and easy, requiring only minimal alterations once erected” he said.

Emergency egress access

CJ went on to say, “the site was very tight for room. A particularly good innovation was erecting the scaffold on brackets. This allowed free access around ground level of the site. This also appeased the clients need for egress in the event of an emergency.”
