Peninsula Roof Celebration
Peninsula Roofing and Scaffolding was selected to construct a stage for the Tuia 250 Captain Cook Ngati Hei – Mercury Bay Commemorations in Whitianga.
Richard Vetter, Former Director at Peninsula Scaffolding, highlighted how Layher products played a key role in the project’s success: “We used a combination of Layher Allround Scaffolding, Layher Event Decks, and the Layher Keder Roof XL, which allowed us to build and dismantle the structure efficiently. The Keder Roof also reduced the need for single use shrinkwrap, supporting a more sustainable approach. Layher’s design service was instrumental – the detailed plan provided made it seamless to collaborate with the Chartered Engineer.”
Modular Event Roof System
“The event organisers were thrilled with the speed at which we completed the roof-covered stage, especially within a high-traffic celebration area. They were also impressed with how the Keder Roof’s design echoed the traditional marae buildings. Most importantly, knowing that the structure was engineered to withstand the variable and windy beachfront conditions gave everyone confidence in the safety and durability of the build,” Richard shared.
A big thank you to Peninsula Roofing and Scaffolding for sharing these photos.
