Perth Metro Rail Project
Celtic Scaffolding built this birdcage for the Perth Metro Rail Project, Esplanade station. The birdcage enabled Leighton Kumagai Joint Venture to do work on the inside of the roof.
Keeping ahead of the contractors
Celtic Scaffolding needed to span across access voids to the lower platform, which was a tricky job, especially with concrete columns in the way. They erected 17 3.07 bays within the specified type time frame, keeping ahead of the contractors who were following behind. This was Celtic’s first job using Layher scaffolding.
