Pyradeck Scaffolding came to us with an interesting problem on this Fletcher site. Could they build a scaffold one deck wide for the first 12m and then three decks wide for the next 50m?

As you can see our engineers in Germany came up with an elegant solution. Put U-head jacks in the top of the standards of the narrow scaffold, install beams and then build the wide scaffold up from U-head jacks sitting on those beams. The outside standards of the narrow scaffold needed to be doubled up with twin wedge couplers to ensure it could support the loadings imposed by the top scaffold. Our engineers also supplied the tying in pattern required to meet a heavy duty load rating.

Don't forget, if you need an engineered solution, we're here to help.
