This hanging scaffold was erected for the NZAS aluminium smelter at Tiwai Point, Bluff. The scaffold is up so the cladding covering the conveyor belt can be replaced and all the steel structure of the 99 conveyor can be sandblasted and painted. Spreader tubes were used for location then a scaffold using Allround components was erected.
Windbreaks have been attached to the exterior sides of the scaffold to contain sandblast material and paint overspray. This scaffold is rated as a Light Duty hanging scaffold allowing 225kg per bay.
